On March 1st, the Provincial People’s Council of Lam Dong province organized the 13th session – a special session to discuss and decide on some important matters within its jurisdiction.
Upon completion, the new road will connect with National Route 28B through the district of Duc Trong.
At this session, the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Council approved a resolution to allow Ninh Thuan to support the implementation of the Road connecting from Tan Son town, Ninh Son district, Ninh Thuan province to Ta Nang intersection, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.
The total length of the road is about 63 km, of which the section passing through Ninh Thuan province is about 46 km and the section passing through Lam Dong province is about 17 km.
The total investment is nearly 1,500 billion VND, of which the Ninh Thuan provincial budget will allocate over 1,100 billion VND; this local budget will provide support to Lam Dong province with over 365 billion VND.
When the project is completed, it will connect with the North-South Expressway, National Route 20, National Route 28B, National Route 27, and National Route 1; ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing transportation distance.
This road also contributes to creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of the local people; and providing convenient conditions for handling natural disasters and enhancing the security and defense potential.
Mr. K’Mak – Deputy Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Council – said that Ninh Thuan has shown its concern, sharing, and supporting Lam Dong with investment capital to implement the project, meeting the expectations of the people of the two provinces in the process of solidarity and socio-economic development.
The Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Council requested the provincial People’s Committee to urgently send the resolution of the Provincial People’s Council to the People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province to expeditiously complete the legal procedures to implement the project according to the provisions of the law.
The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has directed the relevant agencies and localities to expeditiously complete the compensation and site clearance procedures for the road passing through the province; closely coordinate with the People’s Committee of Ninh Thuan province, and the agencies and units of this province to ensure the completion of the legal documents for submission to the competent authorities. Lam Dong province will provide maximum support to the investor and construction units during the project implementation.
Previously, the Ninh Thuan Provincial People’s Council issued Resolution No. 11 (dated March 25, 2022) to agree on the use of the provincial budget to support Lam Dong province in implementing public investment activities for the above-mentioned connecting road with an amount exceeding 365 billion VND.
