SCB continues to close its branches

Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB) recently announced the closure of its South Ky Khai Nghia – Ben Thanh Transaction Office (Ho Chi Minh City) after closing a series of transaction offices earlier this year.

Accordingly, the South Ky Khai Nghia – Ben Thanh Transaction Office, located at 225 Bis Nam Ky Khai Nghia Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, has ceased operations (dissolved) since February 23rd.

The South Ky Khai Nghia Transaction Office is the 6th transaction office to close in 2024. Previously, from January 3-5, 2024, SCB had closed 5 transaction offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

SCB affirms that all customer rights and transactions are fully guaranteed to be carried out at SCB’s transaction points.

Before being put under special control in October 2022, SCB had a main headquarters, 50 branches, and 184 transaction offices nationwide. However, after the Van Thinh Phat case was indicted, SCB was placed under special control and the bank continuously closed and suspended operations at transaction points. Up to now, the bank only has 89 transaction points left.

Specifically, SCB’s Ho Chi Minh City branch has closed 32 transaction offices, Hanoi has closed 7 transaction offices, Hai Phong has closed 1 transaction office, Nghe An has closed 1 transaction office, Binh Dinh has closed 1 transaction office, Dong Nai has closed 1 transaction office, Da Nang has closed 5 transaction offices, Gia Lai has closed 1 transaction office, Long An has closed 1 transaction office, Ba Ria – Vung Tau has closed 1 transaction office, An Giang has closed 1 transaction office.
