The price of gold jewelry, 24K gold rings of all kinds, continues to set new highs, far surpassing the highest price on the God of Wealth day (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year). There is also a large difference in the price of gold rings between brands.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Gold Company listed round plain rings at 99.99 to 65.13 million VND/tael for buying, 66.23 million VND/tael for selling, the highest level so far this year. DOJI Company also listed the selling price of 99.99 gold at a high level, ranging from 65.75 – 66 million VND/tael.

Scarcity of gold rings at stores

Gold companies in the South listed the price of 24K gold much lower. Specifically, Saigon Jewelry Silver Gemstone Gold Company (SJC) listed the buying price of 24K gold rings at 63.9 million VND/tael, selling price at 65.1 million VND/tael, stable compared to the end of yesterday. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Silver Gemstone Company (PNJ) quoted the selling price of gold rings at only 65 million VND/tael in the afternoon.

Some small gold shops in Ho Chi Minh City trade 99.99 gold rings at a buying price of 63.4 million VND/tael, selling price of 63.7 million VND/tael, lower than large businesses by up to 2.5 million VND/tael.

It is known that at some large gold stores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the temporary shortage of gold pieces, type 1 gold rings, and 5 grams is happening. Most stores still have SJC 1-tael gold and also scarce gold rings.

According to experts, the scarcity of gold rings and gold pieces after the God of Wealth day is normal, it happens every year. Basically, 5-gram gold and 1-tael gold are only used for that specific day, while on normal days, stores will focus on selling jewelry.
