According to the Ha Tinh Provincial Police, the Vu Quang District People’s Procuracy has recently approved the decision to prosecute Le Khanh Thiep, born in 1996, residing in Huong Son, Ha Tinh, for the crime of “Fraudulently appropriating property”.
Le Khanh Thiep (born in 1996) residing in Son Hong commune (Huong Son – Ha Tinh) went on social media, posted a fake money sales ad, and then misappropriated more than 3 million VND from 2 other people.

According to the initial investigation results, from October 2023 to December 2023, Le Khanh Thiep used the Facebook account “Dat Tran” to post articles about buying, exchanging counterfeit money. However, Thiep stated that he himself did not have any fake money to sell.
Specifically, Thiep posted advertisements: 1 million VND in real money in exchange for 6 million VND in fake money with fake money quality similar to real money about 99%, and 1 million VND in real money in exchange for 10 million VND in fake money with fake money quality similar to real money about 90%.
Afterwards, by demanding payment of the money upon receipt of the goods and not allowing inspection of the goods before receiving them, Thiep deceived and misappropriated more than 3 million VND from 2 other people. The case is currently being further processed by the competent authorities of Vu Quang District in accordance with the provisions of the law.
