On the afternoon of March 2, at the regular Government press conference in February, Major General Tô Ân Xô, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security, said that the company Phuc Son Group (Phuc Son Group) in the case related to the Phuc Son Group Joint Stock Company (Phuc Son Group) had been mentioned in the media for several years now.
In February 2024, after being prosecuted, the competent agency can clarify the violations.
According to preliminary information provided by the investigation agency, Phuc Son Group has been operating since 2004, mainly involved in construction in districts, and then expanded from 2015 with many projects from north to south. Up to now, there are 21 projects with a total investment of over VND 40,000 billion.
The investigating agency has initially considered 2 projects in Vinh Phuc province, where the company has hidden transactions, not declaring the financial system, and evading taxes, causing damage to the State budget of over VND 640 billion. Currently, there are still tens of thousands of billion dong in tax debt.
“Many real estate projects that are not eligible for sale but the company has sold and collected money without transferring the land to investors, causing damage worth tens of thousands of billion dongs to people” Major General Tô Ân Xô said.
Therefore, it can be seen that the responsibility of the management agency is to: Not control financial disclosure activities, although the enterprise does not fully perform financial obligations and taxes but still operates, unable to grasp the actual capacity of the enterprise when accepting projects.
“Initially, it was a small district-level enterprise, but it has expanded everywhere and won many trillion dong projects, while the capacity and level of this company are just enough, many groups have not received large projects like this. The Deputy Director General of Phuc Son Company has just finished the 4/12 grade program. It is good to encourage poverty alleviation, but in the process of getting rich, it is not allowed to infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of the State and the people” Major General Tô Ân Xô said.
Currently, the investigation agency is focusing on clarifying, expanding the investigation to handle the right person for the right crime, and recovering assets for the State and people.
Previously, on February 26, the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security conducted the prosecution of the case of “Violating regulations on accounting causing serious consequences” at Phuc Son Group, Phuc Son Group Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, and related units.
At the same time, the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security also decided to prosecute, temporarily detain Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hậu (commonly known as “Hậu Pháo”), Chairman of the Board of Directors of Phuc Son Group.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Security also prosecuted and temporarily detained 5 related persons, including: Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hằng (Deputy General Director of Phuc Son Group), Ms. Đỗ Thị Mai (Chief Accountant of Phuc Son Group) , Ms. Hoàng Thị Tuyết Hạnh (accountant of Phuc Son Group), Mr. Trần Hữu Định (Director of Nam Á Group Investment Joint Stock Company), and Mr. Nguyễn Hồng Sơn (self-employed laborer), on the above charges.
