The Department of Planning and Investment of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province has reported progress in addressing difficulties and supporting businesses and investors.
In the period from May 2023 to February 21, 2024, the Special Task Force of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province (referred to as Task Force 997) has resolved 23 recommendations related to issuance of construction permits, approval of adjustments to detailed 1/500 planning, land use conversion, investment progress adjustment, and land use extension.
Task Force 997 is currently addressing 19 recommendations, mainly related to non-recovery of overdue land use tax and stamp tax of projects, land leasing for project implementation, issuance of investment registration certificates, and adjustment of 1/2000 detailed planning, etc.
Task Force 997 is currently addressing 19 recommendations from businesses and investors.
In relation to this issue, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, requested that support and the creation of the best conditions for businesses and investors to operate in the province are a top priority of specialized agencies in the area. Therefore, Task Force 997 needs to be more determined in addressing the recommendations of businesses, especially projects that have significant impacts on the province’s development.
Mr. Tho also requested Task Force 997 to further review legal procedure issues regarding each project, especially legal procedures related to land, in order to provide appropriate guidance or written responses to businesses and investors. Task Force 997 must decisively resolve issues related to projects that are slow to implement and do not comply with legal regulations. In the process of handling recommendations from businesses and investors, if encountering difficulties or obstacles, please report to the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province for timely resolution.
Previously, on May 17, 2023, the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province announced the decision to establish Task Force 997 to address difficulties and support businesses and investors. Task Force 997 of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province was established based on Resolution 50 of the Government dated April 8, 2023, with 10 members led by Mr. Nguyen Van Tho as the Head of the Task Force.
In addition, there is a support team assisting Task Force 997, consisting of 10 members from departments and agencies of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
