Hyundai Thành Công has recently adjusted the prices of its urban SUV model, Creta, with the highest reduction of up to VND 41 million.
Specifically, both the standard and premium versions of Hyundai Creta have been reduced by VND 41 million, bringing the prices down to VND 599 million and VND 699 million respectively from the previous prices of VND 640 million and VND 740 million. The special edition has a slightly lower reduction of VND 40 million, going from VND 690 million to VND 650 million.
The adjustment in the retail prices of Creta comes after a few days of Mitsubishi Vietnam reducing the prices of Xforce (VND 599-680 million). This is also a direct rival of Creta in 2024.
It is noteworthy that in this segment, Kia Seltos is also listed with prices starting from VND 599 million for the Deluxe version, which means that all three models, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Mitsubishi Xforce, have the same starting price of VND 599 million. The price race in this segment seems to have officially started.
In fact, from the end of 2023 until now, dealers have launched many promotional programs of up to VND 50 – 60 million depending on the version for Creta. Most recently in late February 2024, the standard version of Hyundai Creta was reduced by VND 51 million from VND 640 million to VND 589 million; the special edition was reduced by VND 53 million, to a real selling price of VND 637 million. The premium version recorded the highest reduction of VND 59 million from VND 740 million to VND 681 million.
However, the reduction levels at dealerships are not consistent. In addition to the highest discount of VND 60 million, some other dealers choose to apply a reduction of about VND 40 million for all 3 versions, while one showroom gives a complimentary accessories package to customers buying a car.

At the end of January 2024, the sales of models in the urban SUV segment all decreased significantly, with only Honda HR-V bucking the trend and surprisingly rising to the top of the segment. Specifically, Honda HR-V sold 801 units, an increase of 109 units equivalent to 15.7% compared to December last year.
Ranked second and third are the KIA Sonet and KIA Seltos with sales of 710 units (a decrease of 47.5% compared to the previous month) and 524 units (a decrease of 58.9%). It is noteworthy that the two leading models in the segment in December 2023 dropped to fourth and fifth place. Hyundai Creta sold 413 units and Toyota Yaris Cross sold 334 units.
