On March 7, 2024, Deo Ca Group and Dong A University signed a cooperation agreement on training and supplying human resources, specifically establishing the Deo Ca Practical Training Institute. The goal of the collaboration is to train high-quality human resources for Deo Ca Group and the transportation industry.

According to Mr. Le Quynh Mai, Deputy Chairman of Deo Ca Group, the current situation of the transportation infrastructure workforce is generally lacking in both quantity and quality. The domestic transportation infrastructure development potential in the near future is significant, demanding that the workforce must meet the requirements to serve the work.

Deo Ca Group and Dong A University agreed to collaborate in establishing the Deo Ca Practical Training Institute under Dong A University. Deo Ca Group will introduce key leaders to participate in the Founding Council and the Executive Board of the Deo Ca Practical Training Institute.

The Institute will combine the resources and experience in organizing and implementing transportation projects of Deo Ca Group with the training strengths of Dong A University to receive and provide practical knowledge and skills, apply new technical and scientific advancements in the transportation field to students. The priority training targets are students and learners from Dong A University, Deo Ca Group personnel, and partners.

The Deo Ca Practical Training Institute will organize short-term and long-term training courses ranging from undergraduate levels, such as practicing engineers (road engineers, railway-metro engineers, etc.), to postgraduate and doctoral levels. It is expected that the Deo Ca Practical Training Institute will be launched in April 2024.

In addition, both parties agreed to establish a branch of Dong A University in Binh Duong Province to meet the demand for practical application engineers’ training for Deo Ca Group, its partners, and the domestic transportation industry.

Mr. Ho Minh Hoang, Chairman of Deo Ca Group, affirmed that “Deo Ca Group sets high standards for the quality of training cooperation. The results must provide a workforce with more skilled workers, more practical engineers, and more professional management personnel, allowing the Group to be self-sufficient in human resources, reducing risks in labor borrowing.”

Chairman of Deo Ca Group has also shown that he values lower-level personnel’s level and degree. At the end of October last year, Mr. Hoang signed a resolution of the Board of Directors on assigning tasks of studying and researching to improve academic qualifications for personnel participating in management and operation work.

Accordingly, the Board of Directors assigned the tasks of studying and researching to the Board members (excluding independent members of the Board of Directors) to participate in the research program in the assigned field and reach a doctoral degree by the end of December 2028.

The Board of Directors also assigned the tasks of studying and researching to the Management Board of the Group, the Management Board of member units, and the Office of the Board of Directors (Head of Office/Deputy Head of Office, Assistant, Clerk, General Staff) to participate in a graduate study program in the assigned field until December 31, 2026, and reach a master’s degree.

Individuals who successfully complete the tasks of studying and researching to achieve the required degrees will be rewarded by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, depending on the actual situation and the results of their study and research. For individuals who do not complete the advanced degree programs, depending on the actual situation, the Chairman of the Board of Directors will consider discipline or propose disciplinary measures under their authority, such as dismissal, exemption, job transfer, etc.
