On 7th March, The Criminal Investigation Agency of Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province urgently arrested Nguyen Thanh Sang (34 years old; resident of Ham Thanh Commune, Ham Thuan Nam District) to investigate his fraudulent acts involving property appropriation.

According to preliminary information, from 2021 to 2023, through social media, Sang counterfeited 16 land use certificates, ownership of houses, and other assets attached to the land. These certificates contain information about the number of sheets, land parcels, and assets on land in Phan Thiet City and Ham Thuan Nam District.
After obtaining the fake land and house documents, Sang used them as collateral for 10 people and fraudulently appropriated over 18 billion VND.
The Ham Thuan Nam District police are currently continuing their investigation.
