The Center for Housing Management and Construction Appraisal also received 2,333 resettlement land plots as directed by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Up to now, the unit has received 1,216 plots, 685 plots not yet received, and the remaining 432 plots not accepted.

Regarding the housing fund for resettlement, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment believes that for old condominiums, the Department of Construction should advise the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to expedite the procedures to ensure a resettlement housing fund in April or May to arrange for households affected by projects.

Within the housing fund, resettlement land plots, Ho Chi Minh City has proposed to auction 4,927 apartments and 40 land plots. Recently, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has reported to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on adjusting the timeline for implementing the detailed plan to organize the auction of land and 3,790 condominiums in the new Thu Thiem urban area (Thu Duc City).

Among them, with 3,790 apartments (blocks R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 in a 38.4-hectare area, An Khanh Ward) belonging to the program to build 12,500 resettlement apartments for people affected by clearance in the new Thu Thiem urban area, the preparation time for the auction dossier is before July 7, and the auction is expected to be held before September 26.

The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City directed units to offer advice, propose reports on the conversion from the resettlement housing fund target to commercial housing; establish public ownership for common-use items such as corridors, staircases, parks, walkways, and submit to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for the establishment of public ownership rights for public assets to be auctioned.
