FPT Group has just appointed Mr. Pham Minh Tuan as Deputy General Director of FPT and FPT Software – the key technology subsidiary of FPT Group. This appointment is part of the Group’s leadership planning and rotation program aimed at enhancing management capacity and providing diverse experiences for senior leaders within FPT Group. The Deputy General Director will be responsible for promoting global business operations of FPT Group’s member units, as well as key strategic business directions such as Cloud, AI, semiconductor chips, automotive software technology, Infrastructure Management System (IMS), and sustainable transformation in the context of strong development opportunities.
Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, born in 1974, graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with a major in Computer Science and joined FPT in 1996. He has held various important leadership positions in FPT Group’s subsidiary companies.
He served as the General Director of FPT Information System Co., Ltd (2014-2018), and successfully developed new solutions in digital government, smart transportation, smart healthcare, e-tickets, and non-stop toll collection, which marked a new business phase for FPT’s products and solutions. Before that, he was the General Director of FPT Technology Solutions (2012-2014), Executive Director of FPT Software Ho Chi Minh City (2004 – 2011), Deputy General Director of FPT Software (2005 – 2011), and, from 2002 to 2010, he made significant contributions to the establishment of FPT Software as a global software export company present in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, and Europe. He was one of the first leaders to implement the Globalization mission of the Group and held the position of FPT Technology Director in India in 1999.

Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, together with the Chairman and the leadership team, led FPT Software to achieve one billion USD in revenue from foreign markets for the first time and join the ranks of world-class IT service companies by 2023. During his 6 years as the General Director of FPT Software (since March 2018), Mr. Tuan has made significant contributions to the company’s growth, achieving a 3.7-fold increase in revenue, even amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. He has also developed a million-dollar customer base, accounting for 80% of the company’s revenue, built a talented workforce in many countries, successfully conducted M&A activities in the US and Japan.
In addition, as part of the leadership planning and rotation program, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh will no longer hold the position of FPT Deputy General Director responsible for Digital Transformation and Technology after completing two terms (2018-2024) to focus on his positions as Chairman of two strategic units: FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) and FPT Digital Company Limited.
Over his two terms as Deputy General Director responsible for Digital Transformation and Technology (2018-2024), Mr. Hoang Viet Anh has successfully laid the foundation and built the Digital Transformation system throughout FPT Group. Under his leadership, more than 100 internal digital transformation projects have been implemented, contributing to timely decision-making, transparent and streamlined management activities, optimized employee and customer experience, cost-saving in operations, and new business directions. In 2023 alone, 42 internal digital transformation projects helped the Group save 617 billion VND. The success of internal digital transformation projects has enabled FPT to replicate and successfully implement numerous digital transformation projects for diverse organizations and enterprises in various scales and fields.
Mr. Hoang Viet Anh
Currently, Mr. Hoang Viet Anh holds the position of Chairman of FPT Telecom (since April 2023) and FPT Digital Company Limited (since February 2021). Previously, he held various important positions such as General Director of FPT Telecom (2018-2023), General Director of FPT Software (2015-2018), Executive Vice President of FPT Software (April 2015 – July 2015), Managing Director of the strategic software unit No.1 of FPT Software (2012-2015), Managing Director of FPT Asia-Pacific (2007-2012). Mr. Viet Anh has demonstrated strong leadership and team cohesion skills. Born in 1975, he joined FPT in 1993 while still a student at the Hanoi University of Technology.
