The incident was shared by Ms. T.V. on her personal page, causing many people to be startled and frightened.

Ms. T.V. shares the incident when she and her daughter went to eat at a restaurant on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1.

According to Ms. T.V.’s account, on the evening of March 14, she took her daughter to eat at a restaurant on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street. When she was almost finished eating the rice bowl, Ms. T.V. discovered a cockroach in the rice bowl she was eating. There was even a whole big cockroach, not just a cockroach leg or antenna.

Ms. T.V. also shared that, as soon as she discovered the cockroach in the rice bowl, she exchanged with the waitstaff, and the two of them immediately apologized. “But clearly, this is not the fault of the waitstaff, so I didn’t make it difficult for them. The ones who should apologize are the head chef or the ones who made this rice bowl for me, but there was no one who apologized or resolved this issue,” Ms. T.V. recounted.

According to Ms. T.V.’s sharing, the head chef or the ones who made the rice and even the manager did not apologize at all, only the two waitstaff were “facing the music”. That is why Ms. T.V. is even more frustrated with the way this restaurant handles problems.

“The two waitstaff did apologize and said they wouldn’t charge me, but I still paid the full bill for me and my daughter’s meal. Before leaving, the staff member still apologized, but I still asserted that the fault was not with the two of them, so the ones who should apologize are not the two of them. It was only after I left that someone in the kitchen came out and apologized to me. Clearly, this is their responsibility, but until I left and reported it, that person apologized. I feel that apology at that time is no longer meaningful,” Ms. T.V. recounted.

Ms. T.V. also added: “Before deciding to report the incident on social media, I also hesitated, as this incident may affect the job of the kitchen staff or the staff at the shop. But I think I need to speak up, so that you pay more attention to your work, you can’t just process food carelessly so that customers have to eat such dishes.”
