The incident occurred at the Southern Tiền River Water Supply Branch of Dong Thap Urban Water and Environment Joint Stock Company (UPCoM: DWS).
Based on the information from an informant, the police force conducted an investigation into the case involving three individuals: Tran Tien Dat, born in 1971, residing in Hanoi, Technical Department Manager at the company; Ho Minh Cuong, born in 1972, Director of the branch; and Chau Vinh Loc, born in 1978, Construction Technical Department Manager at the branch.
According to the police, these three individuals falsified labor cost settlement documents, causing a loss of more than 1.1 billion VND to the company. They fabricated the settlement documents from 2018 to 2023. Currently, they are prohibited from leaving their place of residence for further investigation.
Prior to their current positions, Mr. Dat previously served as Deputy Director of Water Supply Branch No. 1 (later renamed Southern Tiền River Water Supply Branch) in 2018, while Mr. Cuong was the Director of the Construction Consulting and Water Supply Branch at that time.
