The economy in 2023 faced difficulties in all aspects, as businesses had no demand for loans for production and business due to a decrease in both domestic and consumer demand. As a result, credit stagnated, bad debts increased, and banks had to increase provisions, leading to a slowdown in profit growth.
However, despite this, the amount of deposits into banks in the past year reached a record level of 13.5 quadrillion dong in the context of historically low deposit interest rates.
