CEO of Piaggio Vietnam and President of Piaggio Asia-Pacific, Mr. Gianluca Fiume, is proud to discuss this important milestone with VnEconomy.

What does AEO certification mean for Piaggio Vietnam?

The certification from the General Department of Customs marks an important milestone in Piaggio’s journey in Vietnam since 2007. For us, AEO certification is not only an achievement, but also evidence of a new step in the company’s working process and professionalism. It is not the ultimate goal, but rather a motivation for us to continuously improve our expertise.

In addition, the value and reputation of this certification are highly valued by the foreign-invested business community, as only 75 companies nationwide have achieved this recognition. Therefore, becoming a priority enterprise also helps Piaggio consolidate its position in the Vietnamese market.

The benefits for priority enterprises open up new chapters with plenty of development opportunities, providing us with more motivation to enhance our reputation and be ready to face future challenges. As a leading global manufacturer of scooters and motorcycles, Piaggio Vietnam always has the motivation to further develop after each important milestone like this.

What efforts did Piaggio Vietnam make to become a priority enterprise?

At the moment when we received the AEO notification, I was both delighted and proud of the dedication and close cooperation between internal departments. Their positive efforts and energy played a crucial role in Piaggio’s achievements today and tomorrow.

The Finance Management, Accounting, Internal Control, and Import-Export departments are key responsible departments that create the motivation to promote cooperation between different departments. To pass the initial assessment two years ago, we have improved many procedures, innovations, and creativity in our work… demonstrating that the company has met the highest customs regulations and standards of the General Department of Customs in assessing priority enterprises.

Throughout its 130-year journey, Piaggio has always cherished and promoted its reputation, which is in our DNA. To maintain this title, we are committed to maintaining this standard in the future. Piaggio considers the achievements we have just achieved as a starting point because we always have many new ideas to help the company grow stronger. Regardless of our current position, we always strive to be a better version every day.

What does this certification mean for the Piaggio Group?

We have celebrated together with the entire management team not only in Vietnam but also throughout Asia.

At Piaggio, “People” is the company’s fifth brand, alongside the four product brands Vespa, Piaggio, Moto Guzzi, and Aprilia. We value and empower our members, as their development is also the core value that drives our transformation towards a customer-centric model.

Humans, both physically and mentally, develop in parallel with the products. Piaggio not only produces vehicles but also focuses on creating emotional experiences while driving, thereby enhancing the owner’s experience. The AEO certification will evoke pride and provide even more motivation for the Piaggio team to continue their exciting journey.

AEO also reflects Piaggio’s strong commitment to continuously pursue emotional bonds with brand enthusiasts. We have been encouraged and confident in the mission of spreading emotions throughout Asia.

What strategy will Piaggio Vietnam pursue to maintain its growth and achieve more success in the future?

The “Impeccable” strategy is the guiding principle that helps us achieve AEO certification as well as all other remarkable achievements. With this strategy, we will strive to surpass simple standards to become perfect in every aspect from product design to customer experience.

Piaggio always strives to deliver “Impeccable” products and services.

“Impeccable” is the strategy of relentless progress, continuous innovation, and empowerment of individuals. In the development journey, “impeccable” is not just a destination but a mindset that constantly pushes boundaries and challenges to conquer new potentials.

Once again, this strategy demonstrates Piaggio’s commitment to provide impeccable services to customers and those who have always trusted the brand. We do not see the market only as a place for business, but with us, the market is also an intimate conversation. Like the Vietnamese saying “See you again,” we always desire to develop the longest-lasting relationship with customers, exceeding their expectations and providing unique emotional experiences. At the same time, we encourage customers to express their unique personalities and shine in their own way.

What are the challenges for Piaggio Vietnam in the near future, sir?

In business, challenges and opportunities always go hand in hand. Challenges may pose obstacles, but they also open up new development opportunities.

I am an optimistic person. In Vietnam, Piaggio has been present in the market for over 16 years and has a certain sensitivity to potential opportunities. Therefore, our next challenge is to continue to raise our standards to reach new heights.

Thank you for these interesting insights!
