Currently, the Mazda 2 is available for a discounted price starting from 420 million Vietnamese dong, making it the best-priced Japanese car in its segment. Meanwhile, the 1.5 Luxury version is being offered at 499 million Vietnamese dong.

New Mazda 2 was officially launched in the Vietnamese market in October 2023, featuring a youthful and dynamic design. Furthermore, it is a rare model in its segment to possess advanced safety features such as blind-spot monitoring (BSM) and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA).

In terms of exterior, the car comes with a front grille available in two design styles: honeycomb (for Sport Design) and a closed design, only leaving narrow gaps on both sides of the brand’s logo. It also comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Mazda 2 has hardly seen any significant changes, with the car equipped with a 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 60:40 split-folding rear seatback, a 7-inch center display with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support. However, the 1.5 Premium version no longer includes a heads-up display (HUD) on the windshield.

Powering the Mazda 2 2023 is a Skyactiv-G, 4-cylinder, 1.5L engine, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, producing a maximum power of 110 horsepower and a peak torque of 144Nm.

The standard safety equipment on the 2024 Mazda 2 sedan includes: 2 airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist (EBA), emergency stop signal (ESS), dynamic stability control (DSC), traction control system (TCS), and hill launch assist (HLA).

By the end of February 2024, the Mazda 2 has shown positive progress in reaching customers, with sales of 250 units. Although this represents a 32.8% decrease compared to the previous month and a 33.5% decrease compared to the same period in 2023, the sales figure still helps the Mazda B-segment sedan climb to the 3rd position in the top 5 best-selling B-segment sedans for the month. In the first 2 months of the year, this model has achieved a sales volume of 622 units, an increase of 0.3% compared to the same period in 2023.
