Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Tri Thanh, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, affirmed that Quang Nam organized the Conference on the announcement of the 2021-2030 period planning, vision to 2050 and inaugurated the National Biodiversity Recovery Year 2024, is an important event for the locality. Thereby, demonstrating the objectives and strategic vision for the province to maximize its potential and strengths, ensuring the harmony between economic and social development and environmental protection. From there, firmly on the journey to become a developed locality of the country, an important growth pole of the Central Highlands – Central region.
Also according to Mr. Le Tri Thanh, the locality has identified planning as a difficult and top priority task to orient the development of sectors and areas associated with the socio-economic space in the link with localities in the Central Highlands – Central region, opening the way for strong and sustainable development of Quang Nam at present and in the future.

According to the Decision No. 72 / QD-TTg dated January 17, 2024 of the Prime Minister, the provincial planning of Quang Nam in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, the overall goal by 2030, Quang Nam strives to become a moderately developed province the whole country; an important growth pole of the Central Highlands – Central region; have a modern, synchronized infrastructure system; develop air transport, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automobile and mechanical industry, manufacturing mechanical engineering, electrical gas with regional scale; form a traditional medicine industry, deep processing of agriculture, forestry and agriculture products, silica on national scale; have high-quality vocational training institutions; have a rich indigenous culture; the majority of health and education facilities meet national standards; have a synchronized urban system, linked to rural areas.
Specific economic goals, the average GRDP growth rate for the 2021-2030 period is over 8% / year. Economic structure: The agricultural and seafood sector accounts for about 9-9.5%; the industrial – construction sector accounts for about 37.5-37.8%; the service sector accounts for about 36-37.0%; exempted tax of product subsidies accounts for about 16.2-17.0%. The average GRDP per capita exceeds 7,500 USD.
