Binh Dinh invites Lotte Group for investment

The leaders of Binh Dinh province are hopeful that Lotte Corporation will invest in numerous projects in the area.

On March 13, 2024, in Binh Dinh province, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Pham Anh Tuan, had a working session with the delegation from Lotte Vietnam (Lotte Mart), a subsidiary of Lotte Corporation from South Korea.

During the meeting, Mr. Shin Ju Back – CEO of Lotte Vietnam, expressed the intention to research and expand Lotte’s investment and business in the Central region and Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh is one of the options. At the same time, he also expressed the desire to support the development of tourism in Binh Dinh province, including reaching out to customers from South Korea. The Lotte Mart delegation directly surveyed some locations in Quy Nhon.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, Pham Anh Tuan, introduced the potential and investment opportunities in the province, with a focus on trade, services, and tourism. Binh Dinh province also hopes that Lotte Corporation will invest in many projects in the province. The provincial leaders affirmed that Binh Dinh welcomes Korean investors through a series of investment attraction policies that have been implemented, creating the best conditions for investors to operate and committing to support investors in implementing projects in Binh Dinh.

Lotte Mart has been present in Vietnam since 2008 with the opening of its first commercial center, Lotte Mart Nam Sai Gon in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. After 15 years of development, Lotte Mart Vietnam currently has 16 commercial centers and supermarkets nationwide. In the Central region, Lotte Mart’s system is currently present in three provinces and cities, including Da Nang, Phan Thiet, and Nha Trang. Last July, Lotte’s largest commercial complex in Vietnam, Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, went into operation.
