The incident was recorded by Tiktoker Vèo Véo Veo at a restaurant on Láng Hạ street, Hanoi where she and her friends were having crab noodle soup hotpot. They discovered a “strange object” floating on the dish. Upon closer inspection, they were shocked to see that the “strange object” was actually the “waste material of a mouse” sitting right on top of the dish.

Horrified by the presence of “mouse waste” on the dish

The crab noodle soup hotpot was appetizing with a variety of toppings placed right in front of them. However, when they looked at the dish, they found a “strange object” stuck on it. Upon closer examination, they confirmed that it was indeed the “waste material of a mouse” sitting neatly on top of the dish.

The group was horrified and couldn’t believe their eyes. They double-checked and confirmed that it was the “waste material of a mouse” on the food dish that was served to them.

Immediately, the group reported the incident to the restaurant’s staff and the response they received was even more shocking.

The explanation from the restaurant’s staff was “astonishing”

According to Tiktoker Vèo Véo Veo, after they reported the incident, the restaurant’s staff provided an explanation. But it was better not to know, as it sent shivers down their spines.

The original explanation given by the restaurant’s staff was: ”

I don’t know either. Those are the dishes from yesterday that we set aside to throw away.

The staff also confirmed that the banana leaf that was used to line the dish had turned yellow, proving that the dish was prepared the day before.

Regarding the “two black clumps” on the dish, the server continued to explain that it was because the ingredients were not mixed well, and the kitchen staff also gave the same answer. However, Tiktoker Vèo Véo Veo confirmed that usually there would be live sausage and ground meat in the hotpot, some places even add tofu and minced mushrooms, but this restaurant only had live sausage without tofu or minced mushrooms, so it was certain that the “two black clumps” did not come from these ingredients.

Her friends were very upset about this incident. If it weren’t for those “two black clumps,” they would have been unknowingly eating food left over from the previous day. Furthermore, this was a hotpot dish that the restaurant intended to throw away. On that day, there was even a pregnant woman in their group, so they were even more worried and disgusted.

The video clip received over 250,000 views and 400 comments. Everyone expressed their anger towards this incident:

“Why explain it as ‘not mixed well.’ If it is mixed well, the clumps will be buried in the dish, and we can still eat it, right?”

– “If it was not mixed well, please verify it by mixing it well and show it to the staff, who would dare to eat the poorly mixed dish?”

– “Actually, other dishes might have been from the previous day as well, but they didn’t leave any traces.”

– “Honestly, all they need to do is apologize and fix the mistake. No matter what the reason is, we won’t come back.”
