Annual Vietnam Business Forum Commences

On the morning of March 19th, in Hanoi, the annual Vietnam Enterprise Forum and FDI Business Community Gathering will officially take place with the participation of the Prime Minister of the Government.

The Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) Annual and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Community Meeting is a program organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the World Bank (WB), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Vietnam Business Forum Alliance.

With the theme “Leading FDI Companies Implementing Sustainable Growth,” the forum will kick off with speeches by Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Darryl James Dong – Senior Representative of the International Finance Corporation, and the co-chairs of the forum, Pham Tan Cong and Nittin Kapoor.

The Vietnam Business Forum will take place in Hanoi on the morning of March 19

During the forum, delegates will focus on three main parts:

Part 1: The role of FDI in the new context. In this part, alongside the evaluation of the role of FDI in the new context and policy consultation with the participation of representatives from the British Business Association in Vietnam, the American Business Association, the Korean Business Association, the Japanese Business Association, etc., delegates will provide recommendations to improve the business and investment environment in Vietnam.

Part 2: Corporate Responsibility of FDI Companies in Implementing the Green Growth Strategy. Under this theme, delegates will discuss issues related to human resource development linked to green growth; the implementation of ESG in enterprises in the context of promoting sustainable economic development; and the plans of companies for green growth and ESG implementation.

Part 3: Policy responses from ministries and sectors with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Science and Technology.

It is expected that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend and deliver directives at the forum.
