BYD has added a new member to its Dynasty lineup with the launch of the Yuan UP. The electric SUV model by BYD is expected to be priced from 79,800 NDT (approximately 274 million VND).

With dimensions of 4,310 mm x 1,830 mm x 1,675 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm, the BYD Yuan UP is positioned as a small SUV, similar to the VinFast VF6 currently sold in Vietnam.

The Yuan UP continues to feature a design language similar to the Song L, with softer lines at the front of the vehicle and a more squared-off appearance towards the rear. It not only maintains the “dragon face” design but also incorporates more fashionable and youthful elements.

The front of the vehicle features a closed-off grille, slim and wide headlights, a large black front bumper, and a small logo with the Yuan name in the center for enhanced recognition. On the sides, the small SUV from BYD uses semi-concealed door handles, black trim pieces, and chrome accents to add further highlights to the vehicle.

In addition, the Yuan UP is equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a sports spoiler at the rear. The wheels come in sizes of 16″ or 17″, with tire specifications of 215/65 R16 and 215/60 R17.

The interior of the vehicle is equipped with various modern features, such as a D-shaped steering wheel, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch rotating central display, synthetic leather seats with perforations and electric adjustments. The center console features a wireless charging pad, a glass gear lever, and physical buttons for important functions.

The vehicle comes with two powertrain options, a 70 kW motor and a 130 kW motor. The curb weight of the vehicle is 1,430 kg and 1,540 kg (depending on the trim). The top speed of the Yuan UP is limited to 160 km/h.

Notably, this is BYD’s first small SUV built on the e-Platform 3.0, which has been used in the Yuan Plus (BYD Atto 3). Additionally, the vehicle features MacPherson front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension for a balanced and comfortable driving experience.
