In Ha Tinh province, according to a survey conducted by the Ha Tinh Employment Service Center, in the first quarter of 2024, there were over 47 businesses inside and outside the province with a demand for more than 17,000 workers. Some of the industries with relatively high recruitment demand include electronic component assembly, textile and garment, construction, mechanical engineering, driving, electricity, automation…

Among them, the main recruitment demand is for unskilled workers (accounting for 70%), working in industries such as electronic component assembly, textile and garment. To meet the labor recruitment needs of businesses and connect supply and demand, before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, the Ha Tinh Employment Service Center organized 12 job fairs, job exchanges, consultations, job introductions for discharged soldiers at the center and in localities across the province, attracting nearly 2,000 workers to participate.

In the coming time, the Ha Tinh Employment Service Center will continue to increase the organization of direct and online job fairs, connecting labor supply and demand. At the same time, continue to survey, collect, and build a database of unemployed workers to carry out activities to connect with businesses in need of recruitment, helping them have the opportunity to return to the labor market.

Additionally, the center will enhance counseling and job connection activities through social media, phone, email, quick job search on websites, direct and online job exchanges… to enable workers to access quickly and conveniently, especially unemployed workers in need of jobs.

After the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, workers in units and businesses in the province of Thanh Hoa have returned to stable work.

In Thanh Hoa province, according to a preliminary survey by the Thanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, there are about 32 businesses in Thanh Hoa province that have a need to recruit workers after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, with a total of 7,900 workers needed, of which female workers account for 70%.

Also, according to statistics from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province, after 7 days of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, 100% of state-owned enterprises in the province returned to work as normal on February 15th (or the 6th day of the Lunar New Year); about 80% of foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises and private enterprises in the province returned to work on February 15th-16th (or the 6th and 7th day of the Lunar New Year); the remaining businesses resumed work on February 19th (or the 10th day of the Lunar New Year).

According to a quick survey, the rate of workers returning to work after the Lunar New Year reached over 98.6%; businesses in the province tend to continue recruiting more workers to expand production and business.

According to the leadership of the Thanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, in February, the province has provided new jobs for about 4,950 workers, an increase of 8.8% compared to the same period last year. Among those, 629 workers are sent to work abroad on contracts. In addition, the department has issued decisions on unemployment insurance benefits for 1,752 workers, carried out new, renewed, and extended work permits for 88 foreign workers coming to work in the province.

In addition, Thanh Hoa province has introduced and provided guidance to 18 enterprises to coordinate with districts, towns, and cities to recruit workers to work abroad under contracts, directed the organization and guidance of Korean language exams for 10,497 workers, and completed the submission of dossiers to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs according to regulations.

According to the set plan, in 2024, Thanh Hoa province strives to create new jobs for 58,000 workers, including sending 6,000 workers to work abroad; reduce the urban unemployment rate to 2.65% and the rural underemployment rate to 5.65%; carry out appropriate labor structure transformation in line with the province’s economic and social development, in which the agriculture – forestry – fisheries sector accounts for 30.5%; the industry – construction sector accounts for 42.2% and the service sector accounts for 27.3%.

Thanh Hoa province currently has about 20,050 active businesses with a total of about 390,500 workers.

Among them, there are 97,836 workers working in 491 businesses in industrial zones and 292,664 workers working in 19,559 non-industrial zone businesses.
