According to the Ninh Binh Provincial Police’s Investigative Police Agency, on March 18th, they decided to press charges and issue arrest warrants for Nguyen Van Thuat (born in 1986, residing in Dong Thanh commune, Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province), Ngo Anh Tuan (born in 1978, residing in Quy Loc town, Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province), with offenses related to “Fraudulent appropriation of property” and “Forgery of seals, documents of agencies, organizations.” Le Thanh Hai (born in 1994, residing in Quang Thinh ward, Thanh Hoa city) has been charged with “Fraudulent appropriation of property,” and Nguyen Duc Vuong (born in 1957, residing in Nam Binh ward, Ninh Binh city) is charged with “Forgery of seals, documents of agencies, organizations.”
During the investigation, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Investigative Police Agency obtained evidence and documents confirming that Le Van Hong (born in 1958, residing in Vinh Loc town, Vinh Loc district) acted as an advisor and director of an insurance company in Ninh Binh city. Taking advantage of his access to insurance claims for vehicle accidents, Hong colluded with certain individuals both inside and outside his insurance company to forge documents with the aim of defrauding and misappropriating nearly 4 billion VND from several insurance companies in Ninh Binh province and other locations.
Hong has been arrested by the Ninh Binh Provincial Police for further investigation. During the course of the investigation, it was found that the four individuals mentioned above were accomplices of Hong.
The case is currently being investigated and expanded by the Ninh Binh Provincial Police.
