Embankment of the Red River in the district of Phú Xuyên (Ha Noi City) is currently undergoing renovation.

16,611km of the Red River embankment passing through Phu Xuyen district will be expanded from 6m to 9m.

The embankment of the Red River in many areas has deteriorated and heavy vehicles regularly pass through with a high density.

Concrete is being poured into the embankment as part of the project.

The renovation and upgrade project for the section of the Red River embankment passing through Phu Xuyen district includes: expanding the embankment from 6m to 9m; reinforcing the embankment with asphalt concrete; renovating, smoothing, and reinforcing the embankment slope to match the current conditions and design cross-section of the embankment; constructing a reinforced concrete retaining wall; building 9 dyke watchtowers; installing lighting…

“The People’s Committee of the district has firmly instructed the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction to coordinate well with professional agencies and the People’s Committees of the communes and townships where the project passes through during the construction of the items. The implementation of the project will be closely supervised by the units so that the contractor will ensure the quality of the works and follow the approved design documents” – emphasized Mr. Le Van Binh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phu Xuyen district.

Many sections of the embankment are degrading, with narrow road surfaces that always pose a risk to traffic safety and the quality of embankment.
