9 Cases for Raising Retirement Salary by 20.8% After Salary Reform

Retirement is a sum that is paid to workers when they reach retirement age, having previously contributed to the Social Insurance Fund. After the salary reform on July 1, 2024, there will be nine cases that will receive a significant increase.

According to Decree No. 42/2023/ND-CP dated June 29, 2023, which adjusts the pension, social insurance subsidy, and monthly subsidy for those receiving pension, social insurance, and monthly subsidy before July 1, 2023, including:

1. Cadres, civil servants, workers, officials and employees (including those with voluntary social insurance participation time, retirees from Nghe An Farmers’ Social Insurance Fund transferred in accordance with Decision No. 41/2009/QD-TTg); military personnel, public security officers and key personnel who are receiving monthly pension.

9 cases will receive a 20.8% pension increase from April 1, 2024

Commune, ward, and township cadres as prescribed in Decree No. 92/2009/ND-CP on titles, number, some regimes, and policies for cadres, civil servants in communes, wards, townships and non-professional staff at the commune level, Decree No. 34/2019/ND-CP amending and supplementing some regulations on commune-level cadres, civil servants and non-professional staff at the commune level, in villages, residential groups, Decree No. 121/2003/ND-CP on regimes and policies for cadres and civil servants in communes, wards and townships, and Decree No. 09/1998/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree No. 50/CP of July 26, 1995 of the Government on the living allowance regime for cadres in communes, wards, and townships, who are receiving monthly pension and subsidy.

3. People who are receiving a monthly loss of working capacity allowance in accordance with the law; people who are receiving a monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 91/2000/QD-TTg on subsidy for those who are past retirement age at the time of ceasing to receive monthly loss of working capacity allowance, Decision No. 613/QD-TTg on monthly subsidy for those who have from 15 to under 20 years of actual working time and have expired the period of entitlement to loss of working capacity allowance; rubber workers who are receiving a monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 206-CP of May 30, 1979 of the Government Council on policies for newly liberated workers engaged in hard, hazardous work who are now old and have to quit their jobs.

4. Cadres of communes, wards, and townships who are receiving monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 130-CP of June 20, 1975 of the Government Council supplementing the policy and待遇regime for commune cadres and Decision No. 111-HDBT of October 13, 1981 of the Council of Ministers.

5. Military personnel who are receiving a monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 142/2008/QD-TTg on implementing the regime for military personnel participating in the抗美援越resistance war with under 20 years of service in the military who have been demobilized and returned to their local areas (amended and supplemented by Decision No. 38/2010/QD-TTg).

6. Public security personnel who are receiving a monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 53/2010/QD-TTg regulating the regime for cadres and combatants of the People’s Public Security who participated in the抗美援越resistance war with under 20 years of service in the People’s Public Security who have quit their jobs and returned to their local areas.

7. Military personnel, public security personnel, key personnel receiving salaries as for military personnel and public security personnel who are receiving monthly subsidy in accordance with Decision No. 62/2011/QD-TTg on the regime and policies for those who participated in the war to protect the Fatherland, performed international missions in Cambodia, and helped Laos after April 30, 1975, who have been demobilized, returned to their local areas, or quit their jobs.

8. People who are receiving a monthly allowance for occupational accidents and diseases.

9. People who are receiving a monthly survivor’s allowance before January 1, 1995.

The subjects prescribed in points 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 above who stop receiving pension, social insurance subsidy, monthly subsidy before January 1, 1995, after the adjustment in accordance with the regulations have a pension level , social insurance subsidy, monthly subsidy is less than 3 million VND/month.
