Fuel-efficient SUV slashes almost VND 150 million, aiming to rival Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson

Haval Vietnam has launched a promotion program of up to hundreds of millions of VND for customers on the occasion of the April 30 holiday. Accordingly, customers who buy a car at this time will receive a cash discount of up to VND 100 million and a heat-insulating film package worth VND 16 million. Notably, in addition to the discount and gift promotion, Haval also supports customers with an additional VND 20 million in registration fee.

This move by Haval is believed to be aimed at attracting buyers as well as increasing competitiveness with rivals in the same segment as Hyundai Tucson, Ford Territory…, which are also deeply discounted on the market. Specifically, Hyundai Tucson has reduced prices by 30 to 50 million VND, while Ford Territory has reduced by 25 million VND, and Kia Sportage has reduced by 20 to 30 million VND.

Haval H6 is a sports utility vehicle with many advantages in both exterior and interior. Compared to its rivals, the H6 stands out with the most powerful and fuel-efficient hybrid engine in the segment (243 horsepower, 5.2 liters/100km, according to the manufacturer).

The power of the Haval H6 Hybird comes from the 1.5L Turbo gasoline engine combined with an electric motor, producing a maximum total power of 243 PS (equivalent to 240 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 530 Nm. The vehicle has 4 driving modes: standard, sport, fuel economy, and slippery roads.

In the Vietnamese market, Haval H6’s toughest competitor in terms of sales is the Mazda CX-5, with 912 units sold in March 2024. By the end of the first quarter of 2024, this model had 2,319 vehicles reaching customers.

The second-best-selling model was the Honda CR-V, with 649 units sold in March 2024, and the Ford Territory, with 602 units. Meanwhile, Haval H6’s sales figures have not been released.
