On April 17, a source from the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong reported that the People’s Committee of Da Huoai District (Lam Dong Province) had issued a decision to administratively sanction Hoa Sen Investment Group Co., Ltd., whose legal representative is Mr. Le Phuoc Vu.

Accordingly, on the afternoon of March 24, the authorities discovered that Hoa Sen Investment Group Co., Ltd. transported minerals in the form of backfill soil from the Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen spiritual tourism project (Da M’ri town) to dump at a location outside the project boundary to level and reclaim the land with a volume of 120 m3.
The authorities administratively sanctioned Hoa Sen Investment Group Co., Ltd. with a fine of 120 million VND and ordered it to pay back the illegal profit of 8.4 million VND.
The Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen Spiritual Tourism Project of tycoon Le Phuoc Vu has a total investment capital of nearly 590 billion VND and an area of over 576 hectares, but after that, Hoa Sen Investment Group Co., Ltd. requested to adjust it down to 528 hectares.
Prior to this 120 million VND fine, the People’s Committee of Da Huoai District had penalized Hoa Sen Investment Group Co., Ltd. 6 times for administrative violations related to construction, with a total fine of 780 million VND.
