Zhidou has officially launched the Rainbow mini electric car in the Chinese market. Accordingly, the car will have 5 versions with prices ranging from 31,900 – 43,900 NDT (equivalent to about 112 – 154 million VND).

Zhidou Rainbow has dimensions of 3,224 x 1,515 x 1,630 mm in length x width x height, a wheelbase of 2,100 mm, a 3-door layout and 4 seats.

Notable design elements on the car include the Y-shaped Big Dipper headlights, carbon fiber exterior mirrors and Roman shield-shaped wheel axles measuring 13 inches or 15 inches.

The interior of the car stands out with a pink background, double 2-spoke steering wheel, 5-inch full LCD dashboard, 9-inch central control screen. Physical buttons in the form of knobs are retained below the central control screen.

Other options include remote vehicle control on mobile phone, remote unlocking, remote vehicle search, scheduled charging and software updates over the network (OTA). In addition, Zhidou claims that the car has more than 20 storage spaces inside. The standard trunk length is 390 mm and the cargo volume can be expanded up to 1034 L by folding down the rear seats.

Powering the Zhidou Rainbow is a 20 kW/85 Nm or 30 kW/125 Nm electric motor, combined with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack supplied by Guoxuan Hi-Tech. The battery pack has power ratings of 9.98 kWh, 17.18 kWh and 17.3 kWh, corresponding to operating ranges of 125 km, 205 km and 201 km, respectively.

Zhidou Rainbow is available in seven exterior colors: pink, purple, brown, yellow, teal, green and brown.

Zhidou is one of the earliest Chinese brands to enter the new energy mini car market, with its first product launched in May 2014, later renamed Zhidou D1.

Zhidou later launched the Zhidou D2 and Zhidou D3, both of which retained the 3-door, 2-seat design. However, due to various factors, Zhidou gradually withdrew from the market until it announced its return in October 2023 after completing a capital restructuring.
