The international organization Skytrax has recently announced its ranking of the world’s airports in 2024. In this list, Vietnam has 2 airports that have been honored, namely, Noi Bai International Airport and Da Nang International Airport. Among them, Da Nang Airport has been listed in the “Top 100 Best Airports in the World” for the first time, while Noi Bai Airport has been listed for the sixth time.

Specifically, Noi Bai Airport ranked 96th, a significant increase of 31 places compared to 2023, while Da Nang Airport ranked 94th.

Skytrax’s ranking is based on the opinions of millions of passengers from over 100 countries on a series of specific criteria related to the quality of services at international passenger terminals, convenience, comfort, language proficiency, and the service attitude of staff.

Over the years, Noi Bai and Da Nang airports have been continuously striving to improve their service quality, ensuring quality service for passengers.

Many important measures have been implemented at Noi Bai Airport, such as: Operational coordination has been elevated to a new level with units operating at the airport jointly participating in the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) model. Information technology solutions have been increasingly applied to address the issue of passenger traffic exceeding the design capacity of the two terminals. Non-aviation businesses and taxi companies have been asked to commit to quality service and violations are strongly penalized. Feedback channels are maintained to receive passenger comments and opinions.

Various projects have been implemented to build a cultural space and improve the natural environment: Organizing the cultural week “Hương sắc Hà Nội” (Hanoi’s Essence); organizing greeting activities for passengers passing through the airport during the Lunar New Year festival; reviewing and supplementing many convenient services, such as: phone charging stations, free Wi-Fi, children’s play areas, childcare areas; ensuring infrastructure for disabled people; and continuously addressing and improving the service attitude of front-line staff serving passengers.

Da Nang Airport has constantly strived to improve its infrastructure, add more facilities, and enhance the quality of its services.

Similar to Noi Bai, Da Nang Airport has also continuously made efforts to improve its infrastructure, add a range of facilities, enhance the quality of its services, and train and develop its staff to improve the passenger experience.

The airport has always focused on promoting Vietnamese culture and invested in installing small scenic spots bearing local characteristics, while also incorporating traditional elements into art performances, such as the “Heritage Road” program.

Previously, on January 1, 2024, Da Nang International Passenger Terminal became the first and only terminal in Vietnam to be ranked 5 stars according to the Skytrax standard, after relentless efforts in improving its facilities and enhancing the passenger experience. According to the results, the facilities highlighted by Skytrax include the business lounge, baby strollers, children’s play area, mother and baby room, shopping carts, prayer room, self-check-in kiosk, self-baggage drop-off kiosk, automatic immigration and departure gates.

Da Nang Airport was also listed among the “Top 10 Most Improved Airports in the World” in 2020.
