Traffic Open at Two Interchanges on North-South Expressway Section Through Thanh Hoa

On the morning of April 19, Thieu Giang junction, Thieu Giang commune, Thieu Hoa district and Dong Thang junction, Trieu Son district (Thanh Hoa) on the Mai Son - Highway 45 officially put into operation.

Currently, there are 7 interchanges in Thanh Hoa province on the North-South Expressway, including: Gia Mieu, Ha Linh, Thieu Giang, Dong Xuan, Dong Thang, Van Thien and Nghi Son, which have been completed and put into use.

Thieu Giang Interchange belongs to subproject 2 (the project of the connecting road from National Highway 1A to National Highway 45, invested by Thieu Hoa District People’s Committee). The opening of Thieu Giang Interchange has facilitated travel for local people in Thieu Hoa, Yen Dinh districts and neighboring districts.

Vehicles enter and exit the expressway via Dong Thang Interchange, Trieu Son District (Thanh Hoa).

In order to maximize the investment efficiency of expressways, create momentum, and promote socio-economic development, Thanh Hoa province has reviewed and allocated capital sources to invest in interchanges connecting expressways with the local traffic network, linking urban and rural areas, industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech parks, tourist areas, new urban areas, seaports, and Tho Xuan airport.

Dong Thang Interchange is located at the end of Mai Son – National Highway 45 Expressway. The opening of Dong Thang Interchange has facilitated travel for vehicles to and from localities such as Thanh Hoa City, Trieu Son District, Nong Cong District, and neighboring districts.

To facilitate traveling on the expressway, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport notes that on the North-South Expressway in the East, trucks with a total vehicle weight (including the weight of the vehicle and the goods on the vehicle) of more than 10 tons are not allowed to circulate, and motorbikes, motorbikes, tractors, specialized motorbikes with a speed of less than or equal to 70 km/h, rudimentary vehicles, and pedestrians are prohibited.
