The flights from two central cities, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, to the localities have a high booking rate when the holiday season begins (from May 27th to May 1st). On April 27th, the booking rate of flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to most localities reached over 75%.
Some routes have a rate of 90-100%, such as: Hanoi – Hue, Quy Nhon, Quang Binh, Nha Trang, Phu Yen, Dien Bien; HCMC – Dalat, Phu Yen, Phu Quoc, Dien Bien.
On the route from the localities to Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City, the booking rate at the beginning of the holiday period was only 50%. Some routes with more passengers are Hai Phong – Ho Chi Minh City, Dien Bien – Ho Chi Minh City, Dien Bien – Hanoi, Da Lat – Hanoi.
For the middle day of the holiday, April 29th, the booking rate had not shown any significant increase or fluctuation on domestic flights, with most of them currently fluctuating at 30%-50%. Passengers still have many options for suitable flights at this time.
By the end of the holiday (May 1st), the traffic increased significantly on the routes from the localities to Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City, with an average rate of over 75%. In particular, the routes at 100% include Hue, Phu Quoc, Dien Bien, Dong Hoi, Nha Trang – Hanoi, Pleiku/Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City; Phu Yen – Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City, Quy Nhon – Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City.
Meanwhile, the routes from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to the localities during this period have “cooled down” more than before, and the booking rate is at a moderate level, averaging below 50%.
The results of the booking rate statistics on domestic flights also show that tickets to Dien Bien may be “hot” when the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory is approaching. The Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City – Dien Bien routes are all among the group with high booking rates throughout the holiday season of April 30th – May 1st, and are expected to continue in the following days.
