In the construction project for infrastructure and environmental rehabilitation of the Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Rach Nuoc Len Canal, Thuan An Group Corporation Joint Stock Company, together with a number of other contractors, participated in the implementation of the construction and installation contract package No. 5: XL5 (section from Tan Ky – Tan Quy bridge to Bung bridge, more than 3 km long) and XL6 (section from Bung bridge to Tham Luong bridge, 2.8 km long). The total value of the work carried out by Thuan An Group in these two contract packages is approximately 130 billion VND.
According to the PV’s record, the embankment sections have taken shape along the Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Rach Nuoc Len Canal in packages XL5 and XL6.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Development and Investment Management Board (investor) had issued a document requesting Thuan An Group to respond to the possibility of continuing the contract for the two construction and installation packages XL5 and XL6.
In the document, the investor stated that Thuan An Group had suspended construction on packages XL-5 and 6. The command, laborers… of this contractor have withdrawn from the construction site.
Later, Thuan An Group sent a response, explaining the difficulties in finding sand for filling. The unit said that it had directed, rectified, and required the Construction Command at the two bidding packages XL5 and XL6 to be present at the construction site 24 hours a day to directly handle the work and continue the construction.
Thuan An Group committed to continue implementing the construction contract for the two packages XL-05 and XL-06, without affecting the overall progress of the Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Rach Nuoc Len Canal infrastructure construction and environmental rehabilitation project. On April 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Development and Investment Management Board sent an invitation to Thuan An Group Joint Stock Company and the Consulting Supervision Consortium to work on the construction status of the two construction and installation packages XL-05 and XL-06 of the Tham Luong – Ben Cat – Rach Nuoc Len Canal infrastructure construction and environmental rehabilitation project.
The meeting is scheduled to take place today, April 22. At the meeting, the consulting supervision consortium for packages XL5 and 6 will report on the implementation status and construction plan of Thuan An’s contractor packages. In addition, Thuan An contractor will have to report on the specific construction implementation plan to ensure completion of the packages before April 30, 2025.
In addition to the above packages, Thuan An Group is currently participating in a consortium of contractors implementing the XL5 package, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 Project and XL 2, Nguyen Van Linh – Nguyen Huu Tho tunnel construction project, District 7, by the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Traffic Works (Giao Thong Board) as the investor.
According to the investor, for the XL2 package (Construction of HC2 tunnel under the Nguyen Van Linh – Nguyen Huu Tho intersection construction project), Thuan An Group is participating in a consortium with 2 other construction contractors to implement the contract.
