The Le Duan extension project spans over 1 km, connecting Ha Huy Tap ward to Nguyen Hoang Tu street in Dai Nai ward, Ha Tinh city. It was launched in 2015 with a total investment of 135 billion VND. The project is managed by the People’s Committee of Ha Tinh city.

After years of implementation, the project is still progressing at a slow pace due to land acquisition issues. According to the records, the road has been expanded to about 26m. Approximately 200m remains subject to land acquisition, and construction hasn’t started on this section yet .

It is understood that in order to build this road, Ha Tinh city had to clear land and relocate 101 households affected by the land acquisition for both residential and agricultural land. Notably, 95 households were from Ha Huy Tap ward, 6 from Dai Nai ward, with a total compensation cost of 57 billion VND. The picture shows a section of the road that has been completed but has become congested at its midpoint.

Currently, the Le Duan extension project is still facing land acquisition issues with 15 households in Ha Huy Tap and Dai Nai wards.

Due to land acquisition issues, the project’s owner has repeatedly proposed extending the project’s implementation period.

The project’s delayed progress and lack of road connectivity have caused several sections of the roadside to become unkempt due to littering.

Especially at the intersection with Nguyen Hoang Tu street, there are piles of construction materials, construction waste, broken glass, etc.

Many manholes and drainage ditches are overflowing with waste.
