Vietnam Young Lion is a competition that seeks talented individuals under the age of 30 to represent Vietnam in two international competitions, Young Lions (Cannes Lions) in France and Young Spikes (Spikes Asia) in Singapore. With the aim of finding unique marketing ideas that target young customers, specifically Generation Z, VIB has sponsored and set the challenge for Vietnam Young Lion for the past three years.
In the Digital category of this year’s competition, VIB challenged participants to create a personalized digital marketing campaign based on data. This provided an opportunity for young talents to showcase their creativity and innovative thinking, meeting the ever-increasing demand for customer experience in the digital age.

Mr. Tran Nhat Minh, Deputy General Director and Director of VIB Digital Banking, shared at the final round: “The rapid development of technology and online services requires us to adapt and innovate. MyVIB Digital Bank, with the slogan “Simplicity in Banking,” is a testament to the International Bank’s commitment to simplifying banking transactions, providing the best possible customer experience.”
The ten best entries out of over 200 submissions in the Digital category were shortlisted for the final round. For over three hours, intense battles with highly unique digital marketing campaign ideas for MyVIB captivated the audience with a range of emotions. Ultimately, the Gold prize for the student category went to team Duong Su, whose idea tapped into the spirit of “financial minimalism” through a smart financial management solution. Their confident presentation impressed the judges and everyone following the program.
MyVIB leads the discussion on digital banking on Vietnamese social media platforms

Notably, understanding the needs and desires of Generation Z – young people who are dynamic, creative, and always seeking new experiences – VIB constantly innovates, providing breakthrough financial solutions that are exciting and tailored to their modern lifestyle.
MyVIB Digital Bank is a clear demonstration of this commitment, with unique features such as augmented reality (AR), voice commands through a voice assistant (AI Voice Banking), seamless money transfers with a Social Keyboard, and user-generated QR codes. Due to these efforts, MyVIB has achieved two national records: “The first bank in Vietnam to provide an Augmented Reality (AR) experience” on the MyVIB 2.0 digital banking app and “The first Cloud Native Mobile Banking application in Vietnam,” as recognized by the Vietnam Record Council on April 7, 2022.
In the past two years, MyVIB has successfully implemented a series of brand-building and customer acquisition campaigns with the messages “Banking Beyond Numbers” (2022) and “The More You Use, the More You Benefit” (2023).
