Specifically, the VN-Index decreased by 12.82 points, equivalent to 1.08%, to 1,177.4 points. Liquidity remained low, reaching only over VND 19,000 billion on all three exchanges.
On the HoSE floor, there were 360 stocks decreasing in price, three times more than the 117 stocks that remained in the green.
Meanwhile, on the HNX floor, there were 58 stocks increasing, 109 stocks decreasing, the HNX-Index decreased by 2.67 points (-1.19%), to 222.63 points.
The UpCoM-Index also decreased by 0.51 points (-0.58%), to 87.51 points.
VHM was one of the most negative stocks of the session when it decreased by 3.02%, taking 1.3 points from the general index. Following were GVR, CTG, BID, VIC.
In terms of sectors, securities and real estate were the two groups with the most negative performances. AGR fell to the floor price, while CTS decreased by 5.5%. Stocks with larger liquidity in the securities group such as SSI, VIX, VCI, VND, MBS, etc., decreased by around 1.7-3.6%.
Real estate also had many stocks hitting the floor, most notably QCG. Specifically, QCG of Quoc Cuong Gia Lai was heavily sold from the beginning of the session, hitting the floor at VND 15,500. Later, when sell orders were significantly absorbed, this stock left the floor, narrowing the decline, and losing 3.9% to VND 16,000.
However, by the end of the session, this stock hit the floor again. The total trading volume in the session reached 2.4 million. This was the second consecutive session that QCG stocks hit the floor since the beginning of the week, after a period of sharp increase.
The steel stock group continued to maintain positive signals. The trio of stocks HPG, HSG, NKG recorded a decline of around 3%. In addition, stocks with smaller capitalization such as POM, TIS, etc., had insignificant fluctuations. Notably, NKG unexpectedly hit the floor with record liquidity.
Securities stocks also declined sharply. In addition to the aforementioned AGR hitting the floor, most also decreased, with CTS -5.5%, BSI -3.8%, VCI -3.6%, VIX -3.5%, ORS -3.4%. The exception was TVB, which went against the group and increased by 4.6%.
