Specifically, according to the request of the Thang Long Project Management Board (IMB) (the investor of the Dong Thang Interchange) and the People’s Committee of Thieu Hoa District (the investor of the Thieu Giang Interchange), the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport has announced the start to the operation of Dong Thang and Thieu Giang interchanges of the North – South Expressway of the East from 9 am on April 19.

However, through the inspection and supervision, the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport, the Thang Long Project Management Board, and the People’s Committee of Thieu Hoa District found that there were some factors affecting traffic safety that needed to be repaired and further improved to ensure safe exploitation of the two above interchanges. At the same time, the Thang Long Project Management Board issued Document No. 714/BQLDATL-MSQL45 on April 19 adjusting the time to open the Dong Thang Interchange for traffic to complete the procedures for putting it into operation.

The Thanh Hoa Department of Transport, the Thang Long Project Management Board, and the People’s Committee of Thieu Hoa District have agreed to temporarily suspend the operation of the Dong Thang and Thieu Giang interchanges for repair and completion to ensure traffic safety.
The announcement also stated that the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport will require the investors of the interchanges to urgently complete the work in order to put the interchanges into operation as soon as possible.
