Dong Trieu Meets Criteria for Provincial City Status

To achieve the goal of establishing Dong Trieu City, as outlined in Quang Ninh Province’s Planning Strategy and the National Urban Development Program, Dong Trieu has invested heavily in infrastructure development in its communes and wards. With its development potential, Dong Trieu township has attracted numerous businesses for investment. Statistics reveal that in 2023, 176 new enterprises were established in Dong Trieu township, with a total registered capital of approximately 550 billion VND, surpassing the provincial target by 114%. Currently, there are over 1,500 businesses and affiliated units operating in the township, with a total registered capital exceeding 22,700 billion VND.

Additionally, many inter-regional routes have been developed, forming a “backbone network” connecting the township’s center to its wards and communes via main roads.
Besides transportation infrastructure, Dong Trieu township has also witnessed significant improvements in its education and healthcare infrastructure in recent years, meeting the needs of teaching and learning, and enhancing the quality of healthcare services for residents.
Dong Trieu has effectively mobilized and utilized investment resources to focus on urban renewal, installing new lighting and landscaping, constructing and upgrading drainage systems in concentrated residential areas, and developing comprehensive infrastructure.
