Three Changes to the VIB Family Link Card Line from April 27
Launched in 2021, VIB Family Link is the first credit card line in Vietnam designed specifically for families, helping parents plan their household expenses and support their young children. Over the past three years, this product has brought joy to tens of thousands of families with Smile reward points for every family expense such as healthcare, education, insurance, birthday celebrations, wedding anniversaries, and more.
Understanding that family expenses always account for a large portion of the monthly budget, VIB has recently upgraded the Family Link card’s features to optimize benefits for users. Accordingly, from April 27, 2024, cardholders can choose to register for one of three spending categories based on their actual family needs: Education, Healthcare, or Insurance, and receive up to 10% cashback. Other spending categories receive 0.1% cashback on total transactions. The maximum total cashback is 1,000,000 reward points per billing cycle.
For cards issued before April 27, 2024, customers have the option to upgrade to the new features by registering for a spending category via MyVIB or VIB Call Center (1800 8195) for free. If they keep the same card, cardholders will continue to receive the same reward point benefits and annual fee as before.
As part of this feature upgrade program, VIB Family Link also offers an educational insurance package for children and accident insurance for cardholders – a practical gift replacing the previous global travel insurance package.
VIB Family Link cardholders also receive many attractive benefits, especially when they link to open a card for their spouse. Specifically, the annual fee is reduced by 50%, to only VND 499,000 for the primary card and VND 250,000 for supplementary cards from April 27, 2024. In addition, supplementary cards will be exempted from 50% of the fee for life if they open a primary card and link within 30 days
When opening a new VIB Family Link card from now until June 30, 2024, cardholders will also enjoy the following offers: annual fee refund for the first year for the primary card and 2 supplementary cards, and an additional 10% cashback on spending within 90 days of card issuance (up to VND 1,500,000).
