On the afternoon of April 25, PV Tiền Phong recorded images of the Nha Trang – Cam Lam highway before it connects to the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao highway. This highwayofficially begins collecting tolls today.
Specifically, the investor will collect service fees through non-stop electronic means (ETC) on the Nha Trang – Cam Lam highway starting on April 26. The toll will be approximately 82,000-311,000 VND/trip/vehicle. This is also the time when the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao expressway is put into operation and connects with the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway.
After the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway connects with the Cam Lam – Vinh Hao Expressway , the entire expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa province will be connected starting on April 26, with the travel time between the two localities taking approximately 5 hours.
According to PV’s records, the Nha Trang – Cam Lam Expressway has currently set up 4 toll stations at the Dien Khanh, Suoi Dau, Cam Lam, and Cam Ranh junctions. All operating equipment for toll collection and signs on this highway have been fully installed by the investor.
Meanwhile, the speed limit on this highway has been increased from 80 km/h to 90 km/h. The increase in speed limit on this expressway was implemented by the Directorate of Roads from February 6, 2024, along with the Mai Son – National Highway 45, National Highway 45 – Nghi Son, Nghi Son – Dien Chau, Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet, and Lao Cai – Kim Thanh expressways.
The Nha Trang – Cam Lam Expressway is over 49 km long and goes through Khanh Hoa province. It was funded through a public-private partnership with a total cost of over 7,600 billion VND, and it was put into service in May 2023.
On February 5 of this year, the Vietnam Directorate of Roads approved the Traffic Organization Plan to put the Nha Trang – Cam Lam expressway project into operation.
