Pacific Airlines representative said that on the morning of April 27, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport terminal, the airline was chosen by Royal Bhutan Airlines as a partner to serve charter flights, with services such as check-in, boarding, and apron services.

KB153 charter flight passengers are transported to the aircraft for take-off.

Pacific Airlines is currently making efforts to operate in the field of providing ground services for other airlines.

Previously, Pacific Airlines also became a partner providing ground services to Bamboo Airways at Tan Son Nhat Airport and Da Nang Airport. The airline then switched to providing apron services to Bamboo Airways at Noi Bai Airport.

Pacific Airlines affirmed that Pacific Airlines’ ground equipment is regularly inspected by ground service centers to serve each flight take off on time. Luggage conveyors for passengers to the aircraft’s cargo hold are also covered with tarpaulin, carefully covered from rain, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Pacific Airlines is a budget airline in Vietnam that was once invested by Australia’s Qantas Group.

In October 2020, Qantas Group withdrew from Pacific Airlines and transferred 30% of shares to Vietnam Airlines. By the first quarter of 2022, this deal was completed and Vietnam Airlines has held nearly 99% of shares in Pacific Airlines since then.

In mid-March, Pacific Airlines announced that it would return all aircraft and temporarily suspend operations from March 18. At that time, the airline said it was restructuring its fleet and route network to ensure and increase operating efficiency.

The airline believes that business restructuring is one of the effective self-help solutions applied by many airlines in the world and in Vietnam in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic leaving serious and long-term consequences for the aviation industry.

Pacific then reported to the Civil Aviation Authority that it would coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to develop a plan to return slots in the process of temporarily suspending operations.
