Tourists Travel by Multiple Modes
The Da Nang Department of Tourism announced that the city received over 336,000 visitors for tours and accommodations, an 11.6% increase compared to the same period last year, of which international visitors reached about 72,000, an increase of more than twice. Total tourism revenue reached nearly VND 1,340 billion, an increase of nearly 12% compared to the same period of 2023.
There were more than 560 flights arriving in the city during the 5-day holiday. Due to high domestic airfares, tourists chose many other ways to travel to Da Nang, especially by train, with more than 16,000 passengers, up by more than 60% compared to last year. The number of visitors traveling by personal vehicles also increased significantly. The Department of Tourism added that the average occupancy rate of 4-5 star and equivalent tourist accommodation establishments reached 70%. The capacity of 3-star and below accommodations reached an average of 45%, mostly individual tourists. Tourists mainly visited and experienced major tourist areas such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Asia Park, Ngu Hanh Son Monument, Mikazuki…, joined beach bathing, and experienced activities on Son Tra Peninsula.
According to the record, during the April 30 – May 1 holiday this year, Da Nang was extremely hot and sunny with temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Most tourists flocked to the beach or indoor entertainment areas and some took a dip to avoid the sun. The city organized many fun activities, competitions, and art and cultural programs to serve residents and tourists, especially on the beach.
During this time, Da Nang also welcomed Brazilian football stars to participate in the Brazil – Vietnam Football Festival. Residents and tourists were able to watch the match between the legends and the Vietnamese team at Hoa Xuan Stadium, and met with players Rivaldo, coach Dunga, Lucio, Ze’ Carlos, Giovanni, Kleberson, Edmilson, Paulo Sergio… on Da Nang beach.
Thua Thien – Hue Welcomed 110,000 Visitors
On the afternoon of May 1, information from the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien – Hue (TT-Hue) province showed that during the April 30 – May 1 holiday this year, the number of visitors coming to visit and relax in the locality increased significantly compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, from April 27 to May 1, TT-Hue province welcomed about 110,000 tourists visiting and vacationing in the locality. The total number of guests booking accommodation is estimated at 58,000, with total revenue from tourism estimated at VND 170 billion. The number of visitors to the Hue Monuments Complex during the holiday reached over 58,300, with revenue estimated at over VND 8.7 billion. Compared to the same period of the holiday last year, the number of visitors to TT-Hue province increased by 15.8%, while tourism revenue increased by 9.7%.
During the recent holiday, the locality also organized large-scale events and festivals that attracted many tourists and locals to participate and experience, such as Hue Traditional Cuisine Week, Thuan An Sea Calling Festival, A Luoi and Nam Dong Highland Market…. These events attracted thousands of visitors.
According to the TT-Hue Department of Tourism, cultural, sports, tourism, and festival activities during the holiday in the province were stable, safe, and of good quality.
Binh Dinh: Earned Over VND 300 Billion in 5 Days
The Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Tourism said that the total number of tourists to the province increased compared to last year, reaching over 277,185 visitors. Revenue reached VND 305 billion, an increase of 18.5% compared to the same period in 2023.

The total number of guests registered at tourist accommodation establishments reached 94,185, an increase of 15%. The room occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments reached about 70-75%, mainly; coastal hotels.
According to the Binh Dinh Provincial Department of Tourism, the weather during the 5-day holiday this year was very hot, so many tourists from provinces and cities across the country chose Quy Nhon as the destination to cool off.
