Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PV GAS) announced that the Hoegh Gandria vessel, carrying nearly 60,000 tons of LNG from Malaysia’s Bintulu port, has safely arrived at PV GAS Vung Tau port and completed fuel transfer to serve peak power generation in the 2024 dry season.
With the mission of ensuring energy security during the peak months of the 2024 dry season, PV GAS has proactively imported nearly 60,000 tons of LNG to continue supplying the power plants of the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3), and industrial customers in the Southeast region.

Similar to the shipment on the Al Jassasiya vessel imported in early April 2024 with nearly 70,000 tons of LNG, the receipt of the third LNG shipment was coordinated by PV GAS with many units and functional agencies to ensure safe and timely ship reception, in accordance with the plan agreed upon with the LNG supplier and shipowner.
By the morning of April 30, the import of goods was completed, and the Hoegh Gandria vessel departed from PV GAS Vung Tau port at 11:30 AM on the same day. The entire process of receiving the ship and importing goods was carried out absolutely safely, smoothly, and in accordance with regulations.
