A little over a month after its official global launch, the 2-in-1 (tablet-laptop hybrid) Surface Pro 10 has been brought to Vietnam via carry-on. The Surface line has long established a niche customer segment of business people, content creators, or customer groups looking to handle basic laptop tasks right on the tablet with Microsoft Office applications.
This device doesn’t have many design changes compared to the previous generation. It still has the familiar aluminum casing with a stand, meticulous chamfered edges and corners, giving it a feeling of high-craftsmanship. The machine is 9.3 mm thin, weighs 879 grams – suitable for users who have to move frequently.
The Surface Pro 10 has a 13-inch 10-touch screen, a resolution of 2,280 x 1,920 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen ratio is still 3:2. The manufacturer Microsoft equips this tablet with Gorilla Glass 5 with an Anti-Reflective coating that can adjust color and contrast, helping to reduce eye strain and fatigue during prolonged use. The screen brightness has also been increased to 600 nits.
The manufacturer says the Surface Pro 10 has a battery life of 19 hours, supports 45W fast charging, and can charge 80% of the battery in 1 hour.
The machine uses a 10.5 MP rear camera, 4K video recording, a Full HD front camera, and an integrated NPU to support AI features. In terms of sound, the product uses 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology. The device has 2 USB-C ports with USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4 standards. It is a bit of a pity that the device does not have an HDMI port or a headphone jack to better serve work needs.
Speaking of AI, one of the notable features of the Surface Pro 10 is the dedicated button to call up the Copilot chatbot. This is Microsoft’s generative AI, competing with ChatGPT, which is integrated with Windows 11, the Edge browser, and Microsoft’s Office suite of applications.
The keyboard still uses the familiar Alcantara fabric material. If you want a more complete experience, users will have to purchase the Type Cover keyboard and Surface Slim Pen 2 separately.
The Surface Pro 10 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra chip from Intel with options for Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7, 8-64 GB of RAM, and up to 1 TB of storage. The performance of this chip is said to be double that of the previous Surface generation, surpassing even the 13th generation Intel Core i chip.
The Surface Pro 10 costs VND 39.99 million for the standard version (referenced at the Surface City store) with specifications such as the Core Ultra 5 135U chip, 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB storage. The highest version costs VND 99.99 million with the Core Ultra 7 chip, 64 GB RAM, and a 1 TB SSD.
