Justin Sun shared his thoughts on meme tokens during a keynote address at Token 2049.
Speaking on Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Floki (FLOKI), Sun said that he believes meme tokens are the “first thing” that sets the cryptocurrency industry apart from traditional finance.
He suggested that meme tokens are “here to stay,” with Sun stressing that launching a successful meme token is “as hard as building a good crypto project.”
Furthermore, the Tron founder argued that there is substantial community support behind the success of meme tokens, with him also pointing to the celebrities that back them.
Citing the example of Elon Musk, who is known to have backed Dogecoin, Sun said that DOGE and similar meme tokens with huge followings are likely to continue to succeed in the future.
To conclude, Justin Sun described DOGE as “one of the greatest cryptos” and reminded people about its potential when bull markets arrive.
