### Lexus GX 2024 Unveiled
A new-generation Lexus GX has been spotted on a car carrier. Although the rear of the vehicle was covered and the rims temporarily void of logos, the distinctive design of this model is hard to mistake.
According to the owner of the photographs, the car was spotted in Phuc Yen, Vinh Phuc, where the Toyota Vietnam factory is located.
The images show that the wheels of the car are 22-inch multi-spoke units. This is likely the GX 550 Luxury version, as previously revealed by dealers.
### Dealers Begin Accepting Deposits
Lexus dealership sales consultants have begun accepting deposits for the new-generation GX, stating that the vehicles will arrive around mid-year and be delivered from May 2024. The Lexus GX 2024 spotted on the road confirms the accuracy of this dealer information. However, the exact launch date of the model remains undisclosed.
The dealers have indicated that the new-generation Lexus GX distributed in Vietnam will be imported from Japan as the GX 550 Luxury version. The expected price of the vehicle is 5.97 billion VND.
### New-Generation GX Receives Comprehensive Changes
In addition to the price, dealership sales consultants have also disclosed further details about the features of the 2024 Lexus GX 550.
In terms of exterior, the vehicle boasts several notable features such as triple-lens LED headlights, LED taillights that extend across the rear, and 22-inch wheels with 265/50R22 tires. Despite being named the Luxury version, the GX lacks exterior chrome accents, opting instead for a rugged dark paint finish.
Compared to the previous generation, the 2024 GX is considerably larger. It has gained 80 mm in length, 95 mm in width, and 50 mm in wheelbase. The dry weight of the vehicle is 3,175 tons, which is 185 kg heavier than the outgoing model. The design of the GX is boxy, a stark contrast to other Lexus models and more akin to the Land Rover Defender or Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Moving inside, the cabin of the new GX is a complete departure from its predecessor and shares some similarities with the LX and RX models currently on the market. Some interior features revealed by the dealership include a power tilt and telescopic steering wheel, 21-speaker audio system, wireless charger, active noise cancellation, and a panoramic sunroof, a first for the GX.
The vehicle’s interior features three rows of seats for seven passengers. The Vietnamese market will offer three color options for the leather upholstery: black, brown, and gray.
