Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Ministry of Transport to take responsibility for researching and timely proposing to the Prime Minister the implementation of the second phase, in order to ensure no impact on operations when phase 1 is completed.
Specifically, this includes: investment in the construction of a second runway; land leveling; construction of a protective wall around the entire area; and other related issues.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked that reputable and experienced consultants be hired for Component Project 4; and that the Ministry of Planning and Investment and experts be consulted to select an investor with the capacity, technology and reputation to provide aircraft maintenance and repair services, and attract customers in the region. In-flight catering services should be provided by a Vietnamese brand name, to promote and contribute to the dissemination of the national identity and tradition; and be suitable to the scale of the regional international airport.
