According to sources from dealerships, the GWM Tank 300 is likely to debut in the Vietnamese market by the end of this year. Earlier, the manufacturer confirmed that it was planning to release this SUV model in Vietnam, however, the release date has not yet been announced.
The dealership has begun accepting deposits for the Tank 300, while also offering a special promotional discount of 20 million VND off the retail price for early bookings. The expected price of the vehicle is around 1.2 billion VND. This is a fairly convincing price, as it’s comparable to the price of this vehicle in Thailand.
The Tank 300’s projected selling price is higher than that of the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento (which begin at around 1 billion VND). This pricing is comparable to the premium variants of its Korean rivals.
The dimensions of the Tank 300 are also rather similar to those of the Santa Fe and Sorento. With a length of 4,760 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, it stands tall. The ground clearance is 225 mm, and it has a water wading capacity of up to 700 mm.
The design could be the most captivating feature of the Tank 300. The Tank 300’s boxy and retro appearance, combined with its rear-mounted spare tire, bears similarities to off-road-oriented Jeep Wrangler models. It can also be compared to the Suzuki Jimny and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which are anticipated to arrive in Vietnam soon.
The specs of the model released in Vietnam are anticipated to be comparable to those of the model sold in Thailand. The vehicle has LED headlights, LED taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. In the interior, there are upscale conveniences including two 12.3-inch screens, a high-quality Infinity sound system, power-adjustable front seats with memory settings, built-in cooling and massaging features, an electronic parking brake, and a large, rugged gear selector.
There are four off-road modes available for the Tank 300: snow, mud, sand, and low-range 2WD and 4WD. Eco, normal, and sport are the three drive modes. Another noteworthy feature is the front and rear electronic differential locks.
Despite being an off-road vehicle, the Tank 300 in Thailand still offers ADAS technological features like a 360-degree camera and an automatic parking assist system.
