When it comes to beach tourism in Thanh Hoa, everyone immediately thinks of the poetic Sam Son beach with its sandy beach stretching to the foot of Truong Le mountain. But in the land of Thanh Hoa, there is still another newly discovered beach with pristine beauty, Hai Tien beach.
Hai Tien beach (Hoang Hoa district) is about 20 km from Thanh Hoa city and about 160 km from Hanoi capital. It has a 12 km long coastline with white sandy beaches.
Just last year, Hai Tien beach was still quite deserted and sparsely populated. Along Linh Truong beach, at that time, there were only a few shrimp and fish ponds belonging to the local people. Infrastructure was gradually being built but there were no major highlights.
However, for about a year now, the deserted land has become much more bustling with the appearance of the Flamingo Hai Tien project with a total investment of over 3,300 billion VND.
Flamingo Hai Tien is a resort, entertainment, and shopping complex covering nearly 20 hectares with a one-kilometer-long beach. The complex has 600 luxury hotel rooms (in the form of resort apartments), 300 commercial townhouses (shophouses), and more than 50 amenities such as a light park, a walking street, an amusement park, etc.
The project is expected to bring visitors new experiences in terms of relaxation, festivals, shopping, etc. when they come to Hai Tien beach.
In addition, there are still many ongoing large-scale projects such as the road connecting Phuc Ngu canal to Giang Son village (Hoang Truong commune). The project has a total investment of 220 billion VND, a length of over 2 km, a design speed of 50 km/h, a roadbed width of 34 m, and a road surface width of 21 m. The road has just been opened to traffic on April 29.
Hai Tien beach tourist area currently has 115 accommodation facilities with more than 6,700 standard hotel rooms, more than 1,820 restaurants, and 11 outdoor swimming pools. There are also sports areas, thrilling game areas, wave pools, and many other unique services.
Along with swimming, relaxation, and enjoying a variety of cuisines, Hai Tien also has 16 historical and cultural relics classified as national level and 77 historical and cultural relics at the provincial level.
Hoang Hoa district is striving to invest in building tourism infrastructure, creating a green, clean, and beautiful environment to increasingly meet the relaxation and entertainment needs of visitors. At the same time, it strives for Hai Tien to achieve 3 key factors: complete tourism infrastructure, a civilized tourism environment, and friendly and hospitable tourism staff.
In 2023, Hoang Hoa district welcomed over 1.6 million visitors, reaching 115% of the plan, with estimated revenue reaching over 2,000 billion VND. During the recent holiday season, the district welcomed 90,000 visitors and set a target of welcoming 1.7 million visitors in 2024. This number is almost equal to the number of tourists visiting Quang Tri province in the whole year of 2023 (2 million visitors).
