The story of a family of five who drove their car off a cliff in Dien Bien has captured the attention of netizens for two reasons. Firstly, there’s the crumpled wreckage of the vehicle. Secondly, and remarkably, all five family members escaped with their lives and avoided serious injury.

The crash site of the Suzuki XL7 in Dien Bien could be haunting, with the vehicle crushed in multiple spots.

As evident from the images, the MPV was completely deformed after falling into the ravine. The windshield was shattered, the front end was no longer intact, and one side of the car had caved in.

However, most of the load-bearing pillars remained in their original state, providing protection to the occupants. Interestingly, the Suzuki XL7 is equipped with two standard airbags, but none deployed during the accident, as seen in the crash site photos.

Notably, a social media post allegedly from the car owner has been circulating: “Our car plunged down a cliff nearly 70 meters deep. The car was totally deformed, and no one thought we would survive.
