The People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province has instructed its departments of Finance, Construction, and Planning and Investment to coordinate and provide information to the Ministry of Public Security’s Security Investigation Agency regarding projects on urban greenery and beautification from 2019 to 2023.

The Department of Finance, in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment and relevant sectors and units, will review the report submitted by the Department of Construction on May 6, 2024. Based on the request for evidence and documents from the Security Investigation Agency and the directions from the Provincial People’s Committee, they will promptly gather and provide the necessary documents.
Previously, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security had requested information and documents from Thanh Hoa and other localities regarding an ongoing investigation into alleged legal violations by Cong Minh Green Tree Company and related individuals and organizations in the implementation of projects on planting, caring for green trees, and urban beautification in various provinces and cities.
To facilitate the investigation, the Security Investigation Agency has asked for a review and provision of information and documents related to projects on planting, caring for green trees, and urban beautification from 2019 to 2023. Specific details include legal basis for budget allocation and project implementation, project procedures, bidding documents, list of participating bidders and contractors, inspection records, and more.
According to information provided by authorities, some of the contractors involved in green tree projects in Thanh Hoa include Tay Nguyen Green Tree Company (Dak Nong province), Tay Nam Bo Green Tree Company (Soc Trang province), Thanh Hoa Urban Environment and Works Joint Stock Company (Thanh Hoa province), and Nghe An Urban Development Company (Nghe An province).
The authorities in Thanh Hoa are currently compiling the requested documents and records to submit to the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security.
